English-Ghanaian midfielder Wesley Fonguck was on target as Farnborough earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw away to Torquay United in National League South action at Plainmoor. Fonguck opened the scoring after just 11 minutes, capping a bright Farnborough start and giving the visitors a deserved 1-0 lead that they carried into half-time. Torquay hit back on 59 minutes through Sonny Blu Lo-Everton, but Farnborough responded well and restored their advantage when Mason Bloomfield struck in the 74th minute to make it 2-1. However, the hosts refused to fold and snatched a point late on, Kieran Wilson levelling the contest in the 88th minute to deny Farnborough all three points. Fonguck’s composed finish underlined his importance in Farnborough’s midfield, adding another key contribution to his 2025/26 National League campaign, where he now has 29 appearances, 6 goals and 4 assists so far. Farnborough will look to build on this positive away display when they return home to face Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, March 7, in their next league fixture.
