Former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has opened up about his time with the Porcupine Warriors, stressing the need for patience when judging those who manage football clubs. Speaking after his departure from Kotoko, Zito looked back on a remarkable spell that saw him lift four trophies in just 43 days—a feat he believes speaks for itself. "Winning four cups in just 43 days is not an easy task. At the end of the day, I consider myself very, very successful with Kotoko. It wasn't easy, but we made it happen," he said. The veteran coach used the opportunity to shed light on the complexities of managing a large squad, urging fans and administrators alike to understand the human element involved. "Sometimes, we need to be patient with coaches because we are working with human beings, each with different attitudes, levels of intelligence, and endurance," Zito explained. "We had about 30 players, and the challenge was to synchronise them into one cohesive unit. It's not about the days; it's not even about a month." Offering a philosophical take on expectations, he added: "If you don't make peace with reality, you'll never truly grasp what I'm saying. So, let's leave it there." Now at the helm of Division One side FC AshGold 04, Zito faces a new challenge: guiding the club to promotion while continuing to build on a legacy already rich with achievement.
