SK Brann sporting director Lars Johan Myklebust has expressed strong belief in new signing Stella Nyamekye, describing the Ghanaian midfielder as a player with immense potential who fits perfectly into the club's vision. Nyamekye completed her move from American side Gotham FC, signing a contract until 2028, and Myklebust made clear why the Norwegian club moved for the 20-year-old. "Stella is a player we have great faith in," Myklebust said. "She has good ball control and is strong one-on-one, and we believe she will fit well into the way we want to play." "We are bringing in an ambitious player with great development potential, and we are looking forward to getting her in place." Nyamekye herself cited belief in Brann's project as the driving force behind her decision. "I chose Brann because I believe in the project, and it will give me the best opportunity for my development and playing experience," she said. The Black Queens midfielder has earned six caps for Ghana, scoring once, and arrives with a proven goalscoring record from her time with Dreamz Ladies, where she netted 31 goals in 41 matches. Nyamekye will join her new teammates in Bergen following her commitments with Ghana at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
