Asante Kotoko communications team member Seth Nii Darko has opened up about the financial burden and safety concerns the club faces whenever it travels for court hearings linked to the ongoing case involving the death of supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley. Darko explained that club officials, witnesses, and lawyers must travel from Kumasi to attend every scheduled hearing, only for proceedings to be postponed repeatedly. He noted that the situation has become difficult for the club because each trip requires time, money and careful travel arrangements. "Yes they are saying forensic report is not yet ready everyday when we go they will say we have adjourned it to next month or six weeks after," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com "When it gets to the date too Kotoko is based in Kumasi anytime they will adjourn the case when it gets to the day our management and witnesses together go to court, so you can imagine the cost involved and the risk involved as well because as you are traveling it is you life too sitting in a car from Kumasi. "If it is every three days you have to go if it is every week you have to go when you are going too you are not traveling alone your lawyers are also with you. Witnesses who made the report are also with you but till date this what they tell us." Send your news stories to [email protected] and via WhatsApp on +233 546310076.
