'I don't blame them for giving up' â?? Prince Owusu understands Kotoko fan frustration

Asante Kotoko coach Prince Yaw Owusu has admitted he understands why the club's supporters have grown frustrated with the team's recent performances but insisted there is still reason to believe. Kotoko sit fifth in the Premier League standings, seven points behind leaders Medeama, after managing just one win in their last five matches. The Porcupine Warriors have lost three and drawn one during that stretch, leaving fans disillusioned. Speaking ahead of Sunday's clash with Nations FC at the Baba Yara Stadium, Owusu acknowledged the growing discontent. "I don't blame them for giving up," he said. "But I still want to tell them that there is hope, and we are ready to change things around." The interim coach stressed that the team's current position is not where they intend to finish. "Where we are in the league, that's not where we are only going to end up. We are going to be coming up, so they should be with us till we get up there so that we will be happy together." Kotoko face a Nations FC side that has never lost to them since gaining promotion to the Premier League. Kickoff is set for 3 pm.
