Ghana FA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has praised Antoine Semenyo’s development, describing the forward as one of Ghana’s top players following his recent success at club level. Semenyo joined the Black Stars camp in Vienna after helping Manchester City secure a 1-0 win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final, marking the first major trophy of his career. Reflecting on his progress, Asante Twum said the decision to bring Semenyo into the national team years ago is now proving to be the right one. “We are very happy that we made the decision to bring him to Ghana about four years ago when not much was known about him,” he said. He added that the forward has grown into a key figure for both club and country, earning recognition for his performances. “Without a doubt, he is one of our top players at the moment, and it couldn’t have been better celebrating him for that feat,” Asante Twum noted. The GFA spokesperson also pointed to Semenyo’s recent club form as evidence of his steady rise. “He’s had a great time and has become the talk of town. We appreciate whatever he’s doing for his side,” he added. Semenyo is now expected to play a central role as Ghana prepare for their upcoming friendlies against Austria and Germany.
