Forestry Commission’s Rapid Response Team arrests 23 illegal miners operating on Oda River

The Rapid Response Unit of the Forestry Commission and the Bekwai Forest District have arrested 23 illegal miners mining along the Oda River in the Ashanti region, on Friday, March 5,2026. The team also seized 82 Changfan machines, 77 Pumping machines, 21 motorbikes and destroyed 20 structures. The suspects including four females have been polluting
