Fatawu Issahaku scores in Leicester City's win against Bristol City

Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku lit up the King Power Stadium as his first-half strike helped Leicester City to a 2–0 home win over Bristol City in the Championship. After Ben Nelson’s header opened the scoring on 13 minutes, Fatawu doubled the lead in the 28th minute, drilling a right-footed shot from a tight angle into the bottom corner after a clever pass from Bobby De Cordova-Reid. Fatawu was Leicester’s main outlet throughout, repeatedly tormenting Bristol City down the right and going close with several efforts from distance after the break. He also created chances for teammates, including a well-weighted pass that set up Patson Daka for a low drive saved by the goalkeeper. The Ghanaian’s goal continues an impressive 2025/26 league campaign, taking him to 35 Championship appearances with 9 goals and 7 assists so far. Leicester, who had been struggling for wins in recent weeks, managed the second half professionally, with Jakub Stolarczyk saving a penalty from Emil Riis to preserve the clean sheet. Next up for Fatawu and Leicester is another home fixture, as they host Queens Park Rangers at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, March 14.
