English-Ghanaian attacker Daniel Adu-Adjei came off the bench to seal Rijeka’s 2–0 home win over NK Lokomotiva with a stoppage-time goal in HNL Round 24. Rijeka had taken an early lead on 13 minutes when Tiago Dantas finished calmly after a clever assist from Ante Matej Juric, giving the hosts control at Stadion HNK Rijeka. Lokomotiva saw more of the ball and edged possession, but Rijeka created the clearer chances, staying compact and dangerous on the break. Coach Victor Sánchez turned to his bench in the second half, introducing Adu-Adjei on 62 minutes to inject fresh energy in attack. The move paid off deep into added time, as Adu-Adjei struck in the 90+6th minute to make it 2–0 and kill off any hopes of a Lokomotiva comeback. The goal continues a promising 2025/26 HNL campaign for Adu-Adjei, who now has 16 league appearances, 3 goals and 2 assists so far. The victory keeps Rijeka’s momentum going ahead of their next league fixture away to Vukovar 91 on Sunday, 8 March 2026, following a Croatia Cup tie against Hajduk Split in midweek.
