Asante Kotoko have pocketed €500,000 following the permanent transfer of teenage winger Bernard Somuah to Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo. The 19-year-old initially joined the Galician club on a season-long loan in August 2024 with an option to buy. After impressing during his time in Spain, Celta activated the purchase clause, securing Somuah on a contract running until June 2030. Somuah began his spell with Celta's Juvenil A team before earning promotion to the reserve side, Celta Fortuna. He made his Primera FederaciÃ3n debut against Zamora CF on the opening day of the season and has since accumulated over 800 minutes of action, scoring five goals while showcasing his pace and dribbling ability. One of his standout moments came when he netted a stoppage-time winner in a dramatic comeback against Talavera CF. Celta Fortuna currently sit second in their group with 48 points, pushing for promotion.
